The Dance Throwing your gaze across a crowded room
Your eyes land on me.
My heart flutters as you approach.
You take my hand

Then you tear it all apart.

You rip to shreds which once was nearly dead

Book Review: Wings by Aprilynne Pike Short book reviews first:

Witches of East End, by Melissa de la Cruz
Miss de la Cruz's first adult novel, Witches of East End is a funny, easy going mixture of witchcraft, myths, romance and mystery, nothing too brilliant but still an enjoyable book to read.

Lament: the  faerie queen's deception and Ballad: a gathering of faerie by Maggie Stiefvater

As always, I borrowed the books from the public library, but unexpectedly something really sad had happened: after I finished with these two books: I lost Lament on my way home and so far I still haven't recovered it, which means I'll have to give the library a punishing fee for losiBook Review: Wings by Aprilynne Pike by ~vampirekiki
Garden of Delights My garden of delights,
infested with such pretty, twisted things,
mandrake root and toadstools
and glistering ravens' wings.
I planted belladona,
such a melancholy crop,
and grew poison ivy in blistered vines -
a haven in the bogs.

Skullcap grew amongst the weeds,
its slithering, slivered, ragged leaves
a home to noxious worms
and mealy nettle-bugs.
I gathered withered poppies,
a delicious apertif,
and brewed brackish tea from bagworm seeds
and garnished it with slugs.

Brambles thrived between the stones -
the hedges overblown with ash and bone
to welcome all my guests,
who hunched and huddled in the damp
covered up with dGarden of Delights by *Scarlettletters
Book Review: The Ashleys book 2 Jealous? a few short books reviews here:

Dangerous Girls and  Book 2: The Taste of Night, by S L.Stine
The Dangerous Girls is a pretty average teenage vampire series, but if you are looking for something to kill time with, you might well pick this series up, the major plot-twists are enjoyable. At least I appreciate that the vampires in the stories are those traditional ones (drink blood, can transform into bat/animals, go out at night, can't see themselves in mirrors, etc), the author didn't shy away from killing supporting characters in meaningful ways, the sexy pretty boy vampire is being revealed as a selfish, obsessive sicko instead of a perfeBook Review: The Ashleys book 2 Jealous? by ~vampirekiki
